People often ask me for recommendations on certain tech or tech-adjacent products because they know I'm a bit of a gear-head. I built this site as a way of cataloguing those recommendations and making it easier to share them with friends or friends of friends.

I've taken inspiration from sites like Matthaeus Krenn's This Is My Last, Uncrate, and OG Wirecutter, before NYT turned it to shit.

Searching for honest recommendations online can be a challenge because everyone is (or wants to be) an influencer now, so most links are just referral links, and those tend to skew towards Amazon. Amazon doesn't even carry very good products anymore. For that reason, I've got a personal policy to not link to Amazon on this site. The links aren't even referral links.
