If you need to buy a TV, you might as well buy the best damn one available. People will argue about what "best" actually means given the viewing conditions, but this TV is probably the closest to the covering all the bases. It's OLED, but it's a Quantum-Dot OLED that's bright enough for most rooms and daytime viewing. Sony, is regarded as the best when it comes to color accuracy and 4K upscaling, so everything will look good on it without additional fiddling (something hard to find these days). It supports 120hz and all the other things you might care about. And I find that Sony also seems to have the most HDMI-CEC-compliant sets, which means it plays nice with Apple TVs and PS5s.
I have an older, no longer available Sony OLED, and I'm not sure I could be happier with it.
I'd get it from Best Buy for the free delivery, and because they generally know how to handle TVs pretty well.
